1970 Original Paint TR6C

A 1970 Triumph TR6C with a fully rebuilt engine — complete tear-down, inspection, and reassembly. The bike combines the TR6C's off-road features (folding pegs, distinctive headlight, high pipes) with trim borrowed from the Bonneville, which is honestly a great-looking combination. Mikuni carbs and performance shocks make it more enjoyable to ride than the stock setup. Versatile bike, dressed sharp.

Background
The 1970 TR6C is the off-road version of Triumph's 650 Trophy — high pipes, folding pegs, more relaxed gearing than the road TR6R. Single Amal Monobloc rather than the Bonneville's twin carbs. 1970 was the last year of the pre-OIF frame, which is the chassis most TR6 fans prefer. Steve McQueen rode a TR6 (a Bonneville-engined one, dressed as a German army bike) in the desert-jump scene from The Great Escape — partly why these have the following they do.
