1970 Triumph T120 Bonneville

Sold

A 1970 T120 Bonneville restored by Triumph Classic Motorcycles, with the engine balanced and blueprinted on the bench. The carbs are fresh Amal Premiers, the ignition is modern electronic, and a Podtronics regulator/rectifier handles the electrical side. Those are the three upgrades we'd do to any '70 Bonnie you wanted to actually ride. Everything else was taken apart, gone through, and put back to factory spec or better. Strong runner, looks the part.

Background

The 1970 T120 is the last of the pre-OIF Bonnevilles. Triumph went to the oil-in-frame chassis for '71, which is polarizing — taller seat height, different feel. So '70 tends to be the most sought-after pre-OIF year, with the most-refined version of the original frame and the well-sorted 650 twin under it. By 1970 Triumph had also worked through the '69 mid-year revisions, making this arguably the most settled year of the classic Bonneville run.
