1969 Triumph T120 Bonneville

An early-1969 T120R Bonneville with an older restoration that's settled in well. Chrome's still bright, paint still looks the way restorations look at the sweet spot a few years after the work was done. The 650 twin runs strong. Early-'69 bikes have a following of their own — Triumph made a string of mid-year changes that year, and the January production cars aren't quite the same as the October ones. If you have opinions about Bonnevilles, this is the year you want.

Background
1969 is widely considered the high-water mark of the pre-OIF Bonneville era. Twin Amal Concentrics had replaced the Monoblocs, the engine was breathing better, and the chassis was still the lighter pre-1971 frame. The T120R is the U.S. road version. Early-'69 production runs are particularly collectible because Triumph made several mid-year revisions, so what came out of the factory in January isn't quite what came out in October.
